Thrill Mill Creek 2009

Everyone with Applause Studio and Thrill Mill Creek wishes to express their sorrow at the loss of Michael Jackson.  He was an amazing dancer, musician, and entertainer - without equal anywhere.  We mourn his loss with the rest of the world.  Dancing his most famous number - THRILLER - has been a wonderful way to honor his contributions to the world, and share in the magic with others all around the globe.

We look forward to Thrill the World and Thrill Mill Creek in 2009, and every October for years to come.  We think 2009 will be HUGE, and hope to involve local schools, the City of Mill Creek, and area businesses and community organizations.  If we get the hundreds of participants that we hope for, we may need to find a bigger venue!

SO - Get your zombie costumes ready and start brushing up your funky dance moves.  And join us as we pay tribute once again to Michael Jackson and the greatest music video of all time.  Please check back soon for updates on the time and location.

Thrill Mill Creek is part of  Thrill The World 2009 - which continues to set records for the Largest Thriller Dance!

Two new world records for "Largest Simultaneous Thriller Dance" (multiple locations) were set on October 27th and 28th, 2007, when 1,722 people in 52 cities on five continents danced Thriller at exactly the same time!  These records were set with the World Records Academy and the Record Holders Republic.  Thrill Mill Creek added 28 zombies to this total.

Thrill The World 2008 blew those numbers away, with a total of 4,179 people from 10 nations around the world dancing at precisely the same time.  Once again, we proudly did our part.

We're confident that 2009 will push the record even higher, and hope you will come out and be a part of it!

Rehearsals will start in September, and will be held on Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons.  Participation is open to anyone ten years of age and older.  (Under 18 requires parent permission.)  You can get started learning the dance HERE.  Click HERE for a poster to help us promote the event.
